Filip Komorski (born December 27, 1991 in Warsaw ) is a Polish ice hockey player who has been under contract with GKS Tychy in the Ekstraliga since 2015 .

Career

Filip Komorski began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of Legia Warsaw and made his debut in the second-class I league in 2008 . In 2010 he moved to Canada to the Powassan Dragons in the Greater Metro Hockey League , a regional junior league. But after only six months he moved back to Warsaw, where he played in the I league for another year and a half. In 2012 he moved to the Ekstraliga , the highest Polish league, in which he was initially on the ice for GKS Katowice . After playing for Aksam Unia Oświęcim from 2013 to 2015 , he went to GKS Tychy , for whom he has played since then. With the Silesians he won the Polish cup competition in 2017 and the double of championship and cup in 2018. In 2017 he was awarded for the best plus / minus balance of the Ekstraliga.

International

For Poland, Komorski took part in the junior division of the U18 World Championship in Division I 2009 and the U20 World Championship in Division II 2011 .

In the senior division, he made his debut in the 2014/15 season in the Polish national team . He was in his country's squad for a major tournament for the first time at the 2014 World Cup and was relegated with the Poles from the A group of Division I to the B group.
