The 2018/19 season was the 28th season of the Icelandic Ice Hockey League , the highest Icelandic ice hockey league . Champion was Skautafélag Akureyrar , who defeated Skautafélag Reykjavíkur 3-0 in the final .

Because Esja Reykjavík no longer took part in the game, the season started with three teams. In the main round, these teams played 16 games each. The two best-placed teams qualified for the championship finals. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
