The regular season is played as a triple round (60 games per team). The first place becomes British Champion. The eight best-placed teams qualify for the playoffs in which the playoff winner is played out. Each team receives two points for a victory after regular playing time and after overtime, one point for a defeat after overtime or shootout and zero points for a defeat after normal playing time.
