The Murrayfield Ice Rink is an ice hockey rink in Edinburgh , Scotland .

history

The Murrayfield Ice Rink opened in 1952. It originally served as the home ground of the professional ice hockey team Murrayfield Racers from the British Hockey League , which, like the league, was dissolved in 1996. From 1998 to 2018, the Edinburgh Capitals from the Elite Ice Hockey League competed at the Murrayfield Ice Rink. The Murrayfield Racers from the Scottish National League have been playing in the Murrayfield Ice Rink since 2018 .

In addition to an ice rink for ice hockey and figure skating, there is also an ice rink for curling competitions .
