The Scottish National League is an ice hockey league in Scotland and is organized by the Scottish Ice Hockey . In British ice hockey, it represents the third division below the Elite Ice Hockey League and National Ice Hockey League and is considered an amateur division.

The league has had its current name since the 2000/01 season . It was previously called the Scottish League .

Teams from Scotland participate in the league . A team from Northern Ireland ( Belfast region ) and a Scottish youth team also took part in the competition for some seasons .
