career

Tadda's father was a basketball player himself and also trained his son at SV Gundelsheim when he was young. Karsten Tadda himself was able to recommend himself for various selection teams and was accepted into the “Franken 1st” youth development program run by the first division club . In this program he started for TSV Tröster from Breitengüßbach in the new youth basketball league established in 2006 and reached the Final Four tournament in a team with Tim Ohlbrecht and Sajmen Hauer , where Phoenix led by Per Günther was played in the semi-finals Hagen was defeated. As a double licensed player , he also started for the second division team of the Güßbach team, who qualified for the newly created ProB . In March 2008 he was the first time youngster of the month in this division. In the following season, ProB 2008/09 , he was not only named Player of the Month for October 2008, but also named Youngster of the Year 2009 with an average of 19 points per game and just under 4 assists .

From 2007 he no longer only trained in the professional squad of the Brose Baskets, but was also used as a double licensee in eight top division games of the 2007/08 BBL season . Under the new coach Chris Fleming , he earned a permanent place in the rotation of the players in the following season and was used a good ten minutes per game in 22 games. His role in the team consisted in particular in defensive tasks and also occasionally in the offensive danger of radiating through throws from a distance behind the three-point line . In the BBL 2009/10 he was in all games and Bamberg was able to improve after a fifth place in the main round in the play-offs and win the championship again after winning the cup, which they had won in 2007 for the last time. They were able to defend this double, won for the first time, again in the 2010/11 BBL . In the top European division ULEB Euroleague , however, they did not get beyond the first group stage twice. In the 2011/12 BBL , after winning the cup, they are on their way to the third double in a row.

As a selection player, Tadda was able to win the tournament with the German junior national team at the U20 European Championship in Division B in 2008 and thus return to the field of the best junior national teams in Europe. With the A2 national team , he took part in the Universiade in 2009 and 2011 . Svetislav Pešić , who appointed Tadda to the senior national team for the first time in 2012, succeeded the former Bamberg club coach Dirk Bauermann as the national coach of the men's team.

After working for the Gießen 46ers from 2015 to 2016 , Tadda worked for Ratiopharm Ulm in the 2016/17 season , and in June 2017 he signed with EWE Baskets Oldenburg .
