Andreas Seiferth (born June 23, 1989 in Berlin ) is a German basketball player who has been under contract with Medi Bayreuth in the basketball Bundesliga since the 2016/17 season .
career
Andreas Seiferth received his basic basketball training at the BBC and the Basket Bären from Marzahn in his hometown, which have now merged into the Berlin Baskets . From 2006 he joined the youth team of Alba Berlin in the youth basketball league and also played individual games for TuS Lichterfelde in the 2nd basketball league . In the following season he was next to his missions in the NBBL a permanent member of the squad TuSLi in the Pro B . After the relegation of the South West Berliners in 2008 and the age-related retirement from the NBBL team, he moved to Alba's second men's team (Regionalliga) and was also a supplementary player in the squad of the first division team. 2010 succeeded Alba II, the rise While in Erstligateam kept coming in only brief appearances in the pro as he was in the third-tier Pro B as "Youngster of the Year" of the 2010/11 season excellent. Seiferth was able to recommend himself for a commitment to FC Bayern Munich thanks to his performance with the Quakenbrückers.
So he moved to the runner-up and Euroleague participant FC Bayern Munich for the 2015/16 season. Seiferth signed a one-year contract there. In 14 Bundesliga games for FC Bayern, he scored an average of 2.9 points per encounter. On January 8, 2016, his early move to Medi Bayreuth was announced.
