Elias Baggette (born April 28,  2002 in Berlin ) is a German basketball player .

career

Baggette received his basketball training at the Intercultural Sports Academy Schöneberg and at TuS Lichterfelde . In the 2017/18 season, the development player in the youth basketball league attracted attention with outstanding statistical values ​​(25.2 points, 7 ball wins, 5.6 basket assists, 5.2 rebounds per match) and worked at an international youth tournament in spring 2018 as a guest player in the U18 team of Bundesliga club Brose Bamberg . During the summer break of 2018, he then moved permanently to the Bamberg youth department. On the first matchday of the 2018/19 season he made his debut at FC Baunach , Bamberg's training team, in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA. During the 2018/19 season, he scored an average of 2.9 points per game in 28 appearances for Baunach in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA, but missed staying in class with the team. In the 2019/20 season, Baggette achieved averages of 9.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per match, and he also prepared an average of 3.7 basket hits for his teammates. In a league survey, the majority of the people taking part voted for him as the best young player in the 19/20 ProB season.

National team

Baggette made it to the junior national team while still in Berlin. In summer 2018 he was ninth in the European Championship with Germany's U16 team.
