Of the two sporty climbers Cuxhaven BasCats and Giants Nördlingen , only Nördlingen applied for a license. In order to reach 18th place, a wildcard was given before the season . This got TBB Trier , which thus remained in the league despite sporting relegation.

Before the end of the season, the team left the deployed Michael Bradley, Vujadin Subotić, Slavko Stefanović and Dijon Thompson . At the beginning of the season, Goran Jeretin, who was not used due to injury, also belonged to the squad .
