Oskar Faßler (born July 8, 1988 in Berlin ) is a former German basketball player who was last under contract in the 2012/13 basketball Bundesliga with the LTi Gießen 46ers .
Career
Faßler played for the Marzahner Basket Bären in his youth . In 2004 the U16 international switched to TuS Lichterfelde , which works closely with Bundesliga basketball team Alba Berlin . He was active in every age group for the respective youth and junior national teams of the German Basketball Federation . In the 2005 season he made his debut in the BBL for Alba with a double license . After he did not get beyond short stints in the 2009/2010 season, he moved to Science City Jena in the 2nd ProA basketball league during the season in January 2010 . For the 2010/2011 season he moved to Trier. After 2 years in Trier, Faßler moved within the league and signed a contract with LTi Gießen 46ers for the 2012/2013 season , which, after filing for bankruptcy during the season, had to relegate from the Bundesliga for the first time since the division was founded.
On July 10, 2013 it was announced that Oskar Faßler had ended his career as an active professional basketball player.
