Career

Zwiener began his career in Bremen at Bremen's TS Neustadt and moved to the second division TSV Lesum (now Bremen Roosters ) in 2001 until he came to Berlin in 2005. There he first played for the second division club TuS Lichterfelde until he made the jump to the Alba Berlin team. In 2008 he was with the German senior national team at the Olympic Games in Beijing, for which he qualified with the team in a qualifying tournament in Athens.

In order to be able to develop his game better, Zwiener switched to TBB Trier within the basketball league for the 2010/2011 season . There he received a contract for two years and received the long playing time he had hoped for under coach Henrik Rödl . At the end of the season, Zwiener was named Most Improved Player in the Bundesliga.

After two years in Trier, he moved back to his home in northern Germany, where he joined the Eisbären Bremerhaven . Zwiener played for the polar bears until summer 2014. He then moved to Oldenburg to the EWE Baskets Oldenburg there . After a year, however, the contract with Zwiener was not extended in Oldenburg and he switched back to the Eisbären Bremerhaven. After the 2015/16 season, Zwiener withdrew from the first division, devoted himself more to professional matters outside of basketball and also accepted an offer from Oldenburg to serve as a leading player for the young players in the local third division team. In the team of the gaming community Baskets Akademie Weser-Ems / Oldenburger TB, talents are introduced to higher tasks under the umbrella of the Bundesliga club EWE Baskets Oldenburg. He played in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB until 2019.
