The 1999/2000 basketball Bundesliga season was the 34th season of the top German division in men's basketball .

Newcomers to the season
The newcomers were BCJ Hamburg Tigers and TV 1860 Lich . The Skyliners Frankfurt acquired the license of the TV Rhöndorf , the SSV hagebau Weißenfels moved up for the SV Oberelchingen , which returned the license. The relegated USC Freiburg and BBC Bayreuth were replaced .
