Sajmen Hauer (born March 14, 1988 in Nuremberg , Bavaria ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Hauer played as a teenager for the Franconian witchers in his hometown of Nuremberg. In 2004 he moved to the Bundesliga club GHP Bamberg and played mostly in the 2nd Bundesliga South for TSV Breitengüßbach, the Bamberg youth development team. He achieved there in his last season 2006/07 an average of 10.5 points and 3.5 assists (templates) per game. In 2006 he was awarded the Bavarian Sports Prize in the category “Outstanding young athletes”.

From the 2005/06 season, the 1.93 m tall and 88 kg heavy point guard was also part of the GHP squad (then renamed Brose Baskets ) Bamberg in the basketball Bundesliga . With a double license, the junior international played in the 2007/08 season in his home town at Dimplex Falke Nürnberg in the newly established second German ProA division . After relegation to the ProB and the transfer of the license to the Franken Hexer , Hauer was released from his contract on January 23, 2009 because, from the point of view of the club, he had been absent from training several times without excuse.

For the 2009/2010 season, Hauer signed a one-year contract with ProB league club RSV Eintracht Stahnsdorf . He then moved to the first division team Telekom Baskets Bonn for a year . There he could not assert himself and hardly got any playing time and after a year did not receive a new offer for a new contract. After he couldn't find a new club at first, Hauer moved to the 2nd regional league for Future Basketball Berlin. For the 2012/2013 season, Hauer returned to professional sport and received a contract with the BG Karlsruhe in the ProA. After the 2012/2013 season, his contract, which was originally valid until 2014, was terminated by mutual agreement.

National team

Hauer took part in the 2004 European Championship in Greece with the German U16 national team and was the second best scorer in the German selection with a point average of 12.4 over the course of the tournament. He also played for the U18 national team at the European Championship tournaments in 2005 and 2006 as well as at the Albert Schweitzer tournament in 2006 and with the U20 team at the B-EM 2007.
