The 2010/11 season was the eighth season of the Elite Ice Hockey League , the top British ice hockey division . The Sheffield Steelers became the first of the regular season and thus British champions , while the Nottingham Panthers prevailed in the playoffs.

In the regular season, each of the ten teams played a total of 54 games. The first place became British Champion. The eight best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs, in which the playoff winner was played. For a win after regular time and after overtime each team received two points, for a defeat after overtime one point and for a defeat after normal time zero points.
