Coventry Blaze is an ice hockey club from Coventry , England . He plays in the British Elite Ice Hockey League . The games will be played in the SkyDome Arena .
history
The club was founded in 1996 as Solihull Blaze and took part in two seasons each of the British National League and the English National Ice Hockey League. In 2000, the team, which was previously based in Solihull , was relocated to Coventry and renamed Coventry Blaze . After winning the championship of the British National League, the team played in the Elite Ice Hockey League for the first time the following year.
In the second season of the EIHL 2004/05, after the British championship in the main round of the EIHL and the Challenge Cup win, the EIHL playoffs were also won. In 2006/07 and 2007/08 the club was again British champions, with the Challenge Cup in 2007 and the Knockout Cup in 2008 being won. In 2010 the team became national champions for the fourth time. In 2015, ten years after the first success, they won the playoffs of the Elite Ice Hockey League for the second time.
International team took 2005/06 on the IIHF Continental Cup in part.
