The 2017/18 season was the 27th season of the Icelandic Ice Hockey League , the highest Icelandic ice hockey division . Champion was Skautafélag Akureyrar , who defeated last year's winner Esja Reykjavík 3-0 in the final .

Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
