The 2017/18 season was the 27th season of the Optibet hokeja līga , the highest Latvian ice hockey division . The HK Kurbads defended his title in the play-off final against HK Zemgale and won the second championship in club history.

mode

In the main round, the six teams play 30 games each. Each team receives three points for a win after regular playing time, each team receives two points for a win after overtime, one point for a defeat after normal playing time and zero points for a defeat after normal playing time. The four best-placed teams qualify directly for the semi-finals of the playoffs, in which the champions are played out.
