The 2009/10 season was the 19th season of the Latvian Ice Hockey League , the highest Latvian ice hockey league . The Dinamo Juniors Riga became champions for the first time in the club's history .

mode

In the main round, the six teams played 30 games each. The four best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. The two Latvian participants in the Belarusian extra league were also automatically qualified for the playoff semi-finals . Each team received three points for a win after regular time, each team received two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
