The HK OZOLNIEKI / MONARHS was a Latvian ice hockey club from Ozolnieki , the 2000 HK Viliki Riga was founded and from 2008 again at the Latvian Hockey League took part. The association emerged from HK Nik's Brih Riga, which was dissolved in 2000 .

history

The Vilki Riga ice hockey club was founded on September 12, 2000 and took part in the Latvian championship the following season. The club's home games were played in Rīgas Sporta pils , which almost attracted 1,000 spectators. In the mid-2000s, NHL player Sandis Ozoliņš acquired the club and supported it financially.

Before the 2006/07 season, the club did not get a license and initially played in the amateur championship. In 2008 the club moved to Ozolnieki and played its home games in the Ozo ledus hall, which opened in 2008 .

After the 2013/14 season, the club ended its activities and was dissolved.
