The 2011/12 season was the 21st season of the Latvian Ice Hockey League , the highest Latvian ice hockey league . Master was for the seventh time in the history of the HK Liepājas Metalurgs .

mode

In the main round, the ten teams played 36 games each. The six best-placed Latvian teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. The first two winners were placed directly for the semi-finals. Although the Lithuanian club SC Energija was allowed to participate in the main round, but he was excluded from the playoffs. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, each team received two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
