The HK Prizma Riga is a Latvian ice hockey club , which was founded in 1998 and between 2001 and 2003 in addition to the Latvian Hockey League at the Eastern European Hockey League took part. The team has been back in the Latvian league since 2010 and became Latvian champions for the first time in 2014 .

HK Prizma Riga was founded in 1998 and initially took part in the Latvian ice hockey championship as a syndicate with Latvijas Bērzs . Between 2001 and 2003 the club also played in Division B of the East European Hockey League . In 2002, the club withdrew to the second Latvian league and reached third place there.

In the 2003/04 season, the club entered the Latvian championship again as a syndicate with the Helmuts Balderis sports school under the name BHS Prizma Riga 86 and reached seventh place. Then you withdrew the team again and played in the second division, while the U18 juniors of the club took part in the Latvian U18 championship.

In the 2008/09 season, a syndicate with Hanza Riga came under the name HS Riga / Prizma-Hanza and took sixth place in the regular season. Today the club runs a sports school where diplomas in ice hockey and figure skating can be obtained.

Since 2010 a team from the club has been taking part in the Latvian ice hockey league again. In the 2013/14 season the team became Latvian champions for the first time after defeating the main round champion HK Kurbads 4-2 in the finals of the playoff series .
