The HK Keramin Minsk ( Russian ХК Керамин Минск ) was a Belarusian ice hockey club from Minsk , which played in the Belarusian extra league. The team also took part in the East European Hockey League for several years . In July 2010 the club was dissolved due to financial problems.
history
The club was founded in 1998 as HK Minsk and renamed HK Keramin Minsk in 2001 and since then has had the logo and name of the Belarusian sanitary ware manufacturer Keramin. The club played its home games in the Minsk Ice Palace , which opened in 1999 and has a capacity of 1,823.
successes
The club won the Belarusian championship in 2002 and 2008 , and was runner-up in 1999, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007. The club also leads the all-time table of the Belarusian championship. In addition, the team won the Belarusian Cup in 2002 and 2008 and the East European Hockey League in 2003 and 2004 .
