Metallurg Shlobin ( Russian Металлург Жлобин ) is a Belarusian ice hockey club from Shlobin , which plays in the Belarusian extra league. The club was re-established in 2006 and plays its home games in the Schlobin Ice Sports Palace , which has a capacity of 2,000.
history
The club appeared for the first time in the 1985/86 season when it took part in the second division of the Belarusian SSR . In 1989 the first team of the club achieved promotion to the top regional league and from then on called itself Belstal Schlobin . From 1994 Belstal also took part in the East European Hockey League .
After the 1995/96 season, the club was dissolved. Metallurg was re-established in May 2006 and has since participated in the top division, the Extraliga.

In 2012, the club won the Belarusian championship for the first time , having won the Cup in 2011.
