The HK Kurbads is established in 1996. Hockey Association from Rumbula , a district of Riga ( Latvia ), who play their home games since 2017 in the Kurbads ledus hall discharges. The namesake and main sponsor of the association is the logistics company Kurbads . Founded as a pure amateur club, it has been participating in the semi-professional Latvian ice hockey league since 2013 .

history

HK Kurbads was founded in 1996 as a pure hobby and amateur sports club for employees, partners and friends of the logistics company Kurbads . In the following years the club took part exclusively in amateur leagues and tournaments. In the mid-2000s, the club received the request to move up to the Latvian ice hockey league, but waived.

In 2013, the club joined the Latvian ice hockey league and then played its home games in the Vidzemes Ledus Hall in Ogre . In August 2017, the Kurbads ledus hall was opened, the club's new home ground.

In 2017 the club won the first championship title in club history and was able to repeat this success a year later.
