The 2007/08 season was the 17th season of the Latvian Ice Hockey League , the highest Latvian ice hockey league . Master was for the fourth time in the history of the HK Liepājas Metalurgs .

In the main round, the seven teams played 42 games each. The six best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. In the first playoff round, the top two teams in the main round had a bye. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, each team received two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
