The 2012/13 season is the 22nd season of the Latvian Ice Hockey League , the highest Latvian ice hockey league . The HK SMScredit became champions for the first time in the club's history .

mode

In the main round, the eight teams played 28 games each. The six best-placed Latvian teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. The first two winners were placed directly for the semi-finals. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, each team received two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
