The 2012/13 season is the second season of the Professional Hockey League , the highest Ukrainian ice hockey division . Master was like last year, the HC Donbass II .

In the main round, each of the seven teams played a total of 36 games. The six best-placed teams in the main round were then divided into two groups. Their two best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs, in which the champions were played, while the last-placed teams in the second phase of the season ended prematurely. A win in regular time earned a team 3 points. A win and a defeat after extra time was rewarded with 2 or 1 point. There were no points for a defeat in regular time.

The HK Berkut was not allowed to participate in the play-offs due to financial problems, whereupon the last-placed Bilyj Bars Brovary moved up for the second phase of the season.
