The 1993 season was the first staging of the Ukrainian Ice Hockey League , the highest Ukrainian ice hockey league . Champion became for the first time in the club history of HK Sokol Kiev .

In the main round, each of the six teams played a total of five games. The two best-placed teams qualified for the final round, in which the champions were played out between the three qualified teams. As a participant in the International Hockey League, HK Sokol Kiev was automatically qualified for the final round. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
