The 2009/10 season was the 17th season of the Ukrainian Ice Hockey League , the highest Ukrainian ice hockey division . Champion was for the twelfth time in the history of the HK Sokol Kiev club .
mode
The 13 participants were divided into three divisions (center, west, east) in the main round. The two best-placed teams in Division A were directly qualified for the playoff semifinals due to their performance, the teams in Division A in places three and four for the playoff quarter-finals. In the playoffs, the champions were played out. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a defeat after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
