The 2000/01 season was the eighth season of the Ukrainian Ice Hockey League , the highest Ukrainian ice hockey division . Master was for the second time in the history of the HK Berkut Kiev club .

mode

The twelve participants were divided into three groups (center, east, south) in the main round. The two best teams of the relay center and east, the southern relay winner and Gladiator Lviv as the only participant in the western relay qualified for the intermediate round. The two best teams in the intermediate round qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. HK Sokol Kiev and HK Berkut Kiev were directly qualified as participants in the East European Hockey League . Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
