The 2012/13 season was the 76th season of the Hungarian Ice Hockey League , the highest Hungarian ice hockey league . Champion was for the fifth time in the club's history Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák .

After the Hungarian league had consisted exclusively of a playoff round in the previous seasons, in which the MOL league participants and SAPA Fehérvár AV 19 had participated, no separate games were played as the Hungarian championship in the 2012/13 season. Instead, the best-placed Hungarian team in the MOL League was chosen as the Hungarian champion.

Results
In the play-off semifinals of the MOL league, Dab.Docler prevailed 3-1 against Miskolci Jegesmedvék JSE and thus secured the Hungarian championship. Previously, Dab.Docler had dominated the main round of the league and also secured the championship title of the MOL league at the end of the season.
