Zsolt Azari ( Hungarian Azari Zsolt ; born August 30, 1986 in Dunaújváros ) is a Hungarian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák in the MOL league since 2016 .

Career

Zsolt Azari began his career as a hockey player in the youth of Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák in his hometown, for whose professional team he made his debut in the Hungarian Ice Hockey League in the 2003/04 season after having played in the Interliga the year before . With the exception of a short detour to HK Ružinov 99 Bratislava in Slovakia in early 2006, he spent the next twelve years at his home club. After winning the Hungarian Cup with his team in 2003, 2004, 2008 and 2009 , he was able to win the MOL League with Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák in 2012 and 2013 and the Hungarian championship title for the first time in 2013 . In 2014 he and his team became Hungarian national champions. In November 2015 he moved to KH Sanok in the Polish Ekstraliga , where he ended the season. Then he returned to Dunaújváros.

International

For Hungary Azari took part in the junior division in the U18 World Championships in Division II in 2003 and 2004 as well as in the U20 Junior World Championships in Division I in 2004 and 2006 and the U20 World Championships in Division I in 2006 .

Until he was nominated for a world championship for the first time in the senior division, it took until 2014 when he competed for the Magyars in Division I.
