Tamás Gröschl ( Hungarian Gröschl Tamás ; born August 21, 1980 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian ice hockey player who was Hungarian champion six times with Alba Volán Székesfehérvár and twice with Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák .

Career

Tamás Gröschl played for the Újpesti TE from his native Budapest in the Hungarian ice hockey league at the age of 15 . After he had spent the 1996/97 season with league rivals Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák , he returned to Ùjpest, where he was active for two more years. 1999 which stripped him Edmonton Oilers in the NHL Entry Draft in 1999 in the ninth round as the 256th player overall, but did not require it. Instead, he moved to Sweden, where he played for Leksands IF in the J20 SuperElit , the highest junior league in the country, but was also used twice in the men's team in the Elitserien . After a year in Scandinavia, he moved to North America, where he played for Augusta Lynx in the East Coast Hockey League .

2001 Gröschl returned to Hungary and played seven years for Alba Volán Székesfehérvár in both the Interliga and the Hungarian league. In his last season at Alba Volán he played with the club in the Austrian ice hockey league instead of in the Interliga, from 2003 to 2008 he was Hungarian champion six times with the club . He then moved to Slovakia, where he played for HC Nové Zámky in the second-class first division . But after just eight games he returned to Hungary and joined the Budapest Stars , for whom he was on the ice in both the multinational MOL league , which he won with the team in 2010, and in the Hungarian league. After the Budapest Stars withdrew from the game in 2011, he moved again to Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák and won the Hungarian championship in 2013 and 2014 with the club from Central Transdanubia and the MOL league in 2013. From 2015 to 2017 he let his career end with his parent club Újpesti TE.

International

For Hungary, Gröschl took part in the junior division of the U18-B-European championships in 1995 , 1996 , 1997 and 1998 as well as the U20-B-world championship in 1999 and the U20-C-world championship in 2000 .

At senior level Fekete was first in the B World Cup 1999 and the C World Cup 2000 in the Hungarian squad . After switching to the current division system, he played at the Division I World Championships in 2001 , 2003 , 2004 , 2006 , 2007 , 2008 and 2014 . He also took part in the Olympic qualification for the 2006 Games in Turin .
