Central Transdanubia ( Hungarian : Közép-Dunántúl ) is one of seven regions of Hungary on a NUTS 2 basis (code: HU21) and part of Transdanubia ( Latin: across the Danube ). The region consists of the three counties

The largest cities of Central Transdanubia are Tatabánya , Székesfehérvár , Dunaújváros and Veszprém . The region has 1,098,654 inhabitants and has an area of ​​11,237 km².

The region is located in the northern part of Hungary and borders on Slovakia . The four neighboring regions are Western Transdanubia in the west, Southern Transdanubia in the south and Central Hungary and the Southern Great Plain in the east.
