Western Transdanubia ( Hungarian : Nyugat-Dunántúl ) is a region in western Hungary and part of Transdanubia ( Latin: beyond the Danube ; Hungarian: Dunántúl. ).

The region is one of the wealthiest in Hungary . It also holds shares in the Centrope Euroregion .

The largest cities of Western Transdanubia are Győr and Szombathely .
