The HC Nové Zámky is an ice hockey club from Nové Zámky , Slovakia . The club was founded in 2011 as a professional team from HK Lokomotíva Nové Zámky, founded in 1965 . From 2012 to 2015 the club played in the Hungarian MOL league , which it won in 2014 . At the same time, the club played in the Slovak 2nd division , the third highest division. After leaving the MOL league, Nové Zámky rose twice in a row and has been playing in the top Slovak division, the Extraliga, since 2016 .
