The 2003/04 season was the 67th season of the Hungarian Ice Hockey League , the highest Hungarian ice hockey division . Champion was for the fifth time in the club's history Alba Volán Székesfehérvár .

In the main round, each of the six teams played a total of ten games. The three best-placed teams in the main round qualified for Group I of the intermediate round. The first two of the intermediate round group I then contested the championship final. The remaining three teams in the main round competed in the intermediate round group II and their first place qualified for the game for third place against the third in group I. For a win after regular time, each team received three points, for a win after overtime gave there were two points, one point for a defeat after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
