Győri ETO HC ( Győri Egyetértés Torna Osztály Hoki Club ; German: Ice Hockey Club of the General Gymnastics Department of Győr ) is a Hungarian ice hockey club from Győr , which was founded in 1992 and emerged from the ice hockey department of the Győr Sports Club Győri ETO. In the early 1950s, this department took part in the Hungarian ice hockey league as Győri Vasas and later stopped the game. In 1992 the ice hockey department was revived as an independent club and initially took part in the second division. In 1999 the ETO HC won the championship of this league and rose to OB I. Bajnokság. From 1999 to 2006 the club played continuously in the top Hungarian league. In 2006, the club had to withdraw from semi-professional gaming operations, both financially and structurally - the club's venue is only covered by a tent and does not offer ice ages until October. Since then, the club has only been doing youth work and inline hockey .
