This article describes the 2012/13 season of the Erste Bank Young Stars League (EBYSL for short), the highest junior league in Austrian ice hockey.

The teams were divided into 2 groups. In the basic round, 38 games were played, which result as follows. A double round trip was played in their own group (= 24 games). A simple round trip was played against the teams in the other group (= 14 games). The last of the two groups were eliminated, the remaining 6 teams in each group completed an easy round-trip round in their own group (= 10 games). The two best teams in each group had reached the semi-finals. The first of each group played against the second of the other group, the 2 winners were in the final. Semi-finals and finals were played in a to-2 win mode. The best placed Austrian team became Austrian U20 champions.

In addition to the league playoffs, a series for the Austrian U20 championship title was played out, which the LLZ Süd / Graz 99ers was able to win against the EC KAC.
