Career
Ericsson, who comes from a family who loves ice hockey, played for HC Vita Hästen when he was a junior . He then ran for Södertälje SK until 1999 before returning to his junior club. In the meantime with the seniors, he went hunting for goals in the third division Division 1 until 2002 for the team.

Despite three participation in the Kvalserien , the team did not succeed in advancing to the Elitserien . Then Ericsson left the club and played in the 2005/06 season for Leksands IF in the Elitserien. After Skellefteå had made it into the Swedish elite league on the fourth attempt in spring 2006, Ericsson returned. At the end of the 2010/11 season , the attacker , who has meanwhile been appointed assistant captain, celebrated the greatest success with the team since the Swedish championship title in 1978. In the playoffs, the northern Swedes won the runner-up. In 2013 and 2014, this success could be exceeded by winning the Swedish championship title.
After 8 seasons and 492 games in Sweden at Skellefteå AIK, Ericsson decided to move abroad and signed a one-year contract with SKA Saint Petersburg from the KHL on May 28, 2014 and won the Gagarin Cup with this in 2015 .
Before the 2015/16 season, Ericsson returned to Skellefteå AIK in Sweden.
