Brendan Shinnimin (born January 7, 1991 in East Saint Paul , Manitoba ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who last played for Barys Astana in the Continental Hockey League on the position of the center .
Career
After Shinnimin had played in the lower class junior leagues of the province of Manitoba until 2008 , he joined the Tri-City Americans from the Western Hockey League for the 2008/09 season . There he was able to increase his points from 25 over 82 and 96 to 134 points in the following four years. The performance of his last junior season earned him not only a place in the First All-Star Team of the WHL but also the WHL Plus-Minus Award , which he shared with two other players, the Bob Clarke Trophy as the best scorer in the league and the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy as the most valuable player . The nominations for the CHL Top Scorer Award and the CHL Player of the Year were also associated with the latter two trophies, both of which he was also able to win.
Ungedraftet the striker after the WHL season was from the Phoenix Coyotes committed, but it mainly in their in the next four years farm team in the American Hockey League inserting. Only in the course of the 2014/15 season came Shinnimin to twelve inserts for now in Arizona Coyotes renamed franchise . After his contract, which was extended by one year in the summer of 2015, expired, he moved to the European continent in July 2016. He signed a contract with the SCL Tigers of the Swiss National League A .
Between December 2016 and the end of the 2016/17 season he was under contract with Barys Astana in the Continental Hockey League .
