The 2007-08 WHL season was the 42nd season of the Western Hockey League . The regular season began on September 20, 2007 and ended on March 16, 2008. The play-offs started on March 21, 2008 and ended with the Spokane Chiefs' second Ed Chynoweth Cup win on May 7, 2008, which is prevailed in the WHL final against the Lethbridge Broncos .

Team changes

With the Edmonton Oil Kings , a new franchise started playing at the beginning of the season . The Oil Kings were placed in the Central Division and the Western Hockey League grew to 22 teams.
