Greg Scott (born June 3, 1988 in Victoria , British Columbia ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with HK CSKA Moscow from the Continental Hockey League .

Career

Greg Scott played for Victoria Salsa in the British Columbia Hockey League from 2004 to 2005 . For the 2005/06 season he moved to the Seattle Thunderbirds in the Canadian top junior division Western Hockey League . In the following four seasons he was a regular player and scored over 80 points in the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons. Scott, who was never drafted , received the 2008 WHL Plus-Minus Award for the best plus / minus balance of all WHL players with +40.

In the 2009/10 season he played for the Toronto Marlies , the farm team of the Toronto Maple Leafs , in the American Hockey League . After Andre Deveaux and Viktor Stålberg , he was the third best scorer for the Toronto Marlies with 32 points. In the same season, Scott also came to some assignments for the Reading Royals in the ECHL . In September 2010 he took part in the Toronto Maple Leafs training camp, but on September 27, 2010 he was sent back to the Toronto Marlies. Scott played for the Marlies until the end of the 2012/13 season and then spent three years with the Swedish first division club Brynäs IF.

In May 2016, CSKA Moscow announced Scott's commitment from the Continental Hockey League (KHL). At the end of the 2018/19 season, he won the Gagarin Cup with the Army Sports Club and thus the Russian championship .
