The Prince George Cougars are a Canadian ice hockey team from Prince George , British Columbia . The team has played in one of Canada's three top junior ice hockey leagues, the Western Hockey League (WHL) , since 1994 .
history
The Victoria Cougars were relocated from Victoria , British Columbia prior to the 1994/95 season and renamed Prince George Cougars. The greatest success of the team from British Columbia was reaching the finals of the West Division in 1997 and 2000, as well as the conference finals in the 2006/07 season, by defeating the Vancouver Giants in the best-of-seven series with 1: 4 documents. Most recently, the team missed the playoffs in 2007/08, while they reached the conference quarter-finals the following year.
