The 2017/18 WHL season was the 52nd season of the Western Hockey League . The regular season began on September 22, 2017 and ended on 18 March 2018 by winning the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy by the Moose Jaw Warriors . From March 22, 2018 to May 13, 2018, the playoffs for the Ed Chynoweth Cup were held, which the Swift Current Broncos secured with a 4-2 in the final against the Everett Silvertips .
