Career

Halbgewachs spent his junior time from 2012 to 2014, first in the unterklassigen Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League , where he for the Regina Pats Canadians from the nearby city of his birth Emerald Park located Regina played. During this period, the striker played a handful of games for the Moose Jaw Warriors from the higher-class Western Hockey League . He finally joined them in full in summer 2014 at the beginning of the 2014/15 season . In the following four seasons, the wing attacker increased continuously. On the eight scorer points in his rookie year , he let 41 follow in the season. He finally made the breakthrough in his third year with 101 points and was appointed to the Second All-Star Team of the Eastern Conference. The Canadian then had a successful 2017/18 season and also drew the attention of the National Hockey League franchises . The San Jose Sharks finally provided him with a three-year NHL entry contract in December 2017 after he had already collected 61 points in 36 missions. At the end of the season there were 129 points, including 70 goals. Half-grown was the top scorer in the league and also secured the Bob Clarke Trophy for the league's best-scoring player. In addition, his 129 points were the most within the entire Canadian Hockey League , which he also secured the CHL Top Scorer Award . He was also elected to the First All-Star Team of the WHL Eastern Conference. At the beginning of the 2018/19 season, half-grown was in the roster of the San Jose Barracuda , the farm team of the San Jose Sharks, from the American Hockey League .
