The 2010/11 WHL season was the 45th season of the Western Hockey League . The regular season began on September 24, 2010 and ended on March 20, 2011. The play-offs started on March 25, 2011 and ended with the third Ed Chynoweth Cup win of the Kootenay Ice on May 13, 2011, which is prevailed in the WHL final against the Portland Winterhawks .
