Maxwell "Max" Reinhart (born February 4, 1992 in North Vancouver , British Columbia ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Ottawa Senators from the National Hockey League until July 2018 and for their farm team , the Belleville Senators , in of the American Hockey League played on the position of the center . He is the son of former NHL pro Paul Reinhart . His brothers Griffin and Sam are also ice hockey players.

Career

Reinhart was chosen at the WHL Bantam Draft 2007 in 86th position by the Kootenay Ice , for which he played in the Western Hockey League from 2008 . In the 2010 NHL Entry Draft , he was selected in the third round in 64th place by the Calgary Flames . In the 2010/11 season Reinhart won the WHL championship with Kootenay after he was the top scorer in the playoffs with 15 goals. In July 2011, he signed a three-year contract with the Calgary Flames.

After completing his junior years, he was in the 2012/13 season for the Abbotsford Heat , the Flames' farm team, in the American Hockey League . In April 2013 he was appointed to the Flames squad, for which he played his first games in the National Hockey League . In the 2013/14 season he was reappointed to the NHL squad in November 2013.

In July 2015, Reinhart was given to the Nashville Predators in exchange for a success-based four-round vote in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft . In the 2015/16 season he was used exclusively for the Predators' cooperation team in the American Hockey League (AHL), the Milwaukee Admirals .

On June 6, 2016, the Kölner Haie from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) announced Reinhart's commitment. On March 23, 2017, the Kölner Haie announced that the expiring contract with Reinhart would not be extended. He then returned to North America and signed a two-way contract with the Ottawa Senators in July . In the 2017/18 season he was only used in the AHL with the Belleville Senators before he was not given a further contract in the summer of 2018.

International

Reinhart took part in the World U-17 Hockey Challenge 2009 for Team Canada Pacific and won the silver medal with his team. He played for Canada at the U18 World Cup in 2010 and was the leader of the penalty times with 39 penalty minutes from six games.
