Mark Santorelli (born August 6, 1988 in Burnaby , British Columbia ) is an Italian - Canadian ice hockey player who last played for the Carinthian club EC VSV in the Austrian Ice Hockey League (EBEL) . His older brother Mike was also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Mark Santorelli played for the Chilliwack Chiefs, Salmon Arm Silverbacks and Burnaby Express in the Junior League BCHL . With the Chilliwack Bruins he made his debut in the WHL and came to 144 missions, in which he scored 56 goals and 127 assists. For the 2007/08 season he was awarded 101 points as the top scorer of the league with the Bob Clarke Trophy . He also scored the most assists in the league with 74 assists. In 2007 he was from the Nashville Predators for the NHL drafted , but never came across this top division used.

In the following seasons he ran 202 times for the Milwaukee Admirals in the AHL and reached the division finals of the play-offs with the team in 2009 and 2011 .

Santorelli has been playing in Europe since 2011 and became team captain of the Swedish club Tingsryds AIF in the Allsvenskan . With VIK Västerås HK from the Allsvenskan, he also took part in the Kvalserien promotion round.

He won the EBEL 2013/14 with the Italian club HC Bozen and scored 18 goals and 39 assists. He has played for the Carinthian EBEL club EC VSV since 2014 and scored 19 goals and 45 assists in 94 appearances in two seasons. After the 2015/16 season, the VSV announced that it would not renew the contract with Santorelli.
