The Arena Nürnberger Versicherung ( spelling : ARENA NÜRNBERGER VERSICHERUNG ), originally and in parlance also Arena Nürnberg , is a multifunctional arena in the central Franconian city ​​of Nuremberg . The design comes from the Glöckner architectural office . The building is in the immediate vicinity of the Max Morlock Stadium , where the 1. FC Nürnberg soccer club plays.

history

Construction began on August 26, 1999 with the groundbreaking ceremony . The opening of the event arena was celebrated on February 15, 2001 and replaced the Linde Stadium from 1936 , which had been in use until then .

Furnishing

The hall has three ice rinks or, alternatively, 1,900 m² event space. Depending on the event, it can accommodate up to 11,000 visitors with interior, lower and upper tier.
